Each year the Knights of Columbus conduct a program for youth called Free Throw Tournaments.  It begins on the Council level; progresses through the District and then Diocesan level; advances to the State level and finally the National level.

The Council round is held in January, the District round in early February, the Trenton Diocesan Round will be held in late February or early March, at a location to be announced. The State Finals will be held March 20 in Sayreville.

Open to boys and girls aged 10-14, it is a fun program for the Knights and families.  Participants do not need to be related to a Knight in order to compete.

Trenton Diocese Free Throw Tournament

The Trenton Diocese Round of the Free Throw Tournament, featuring the winners of the Distrct Rounds, held by the District Deputies across the Diocese, will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Msgr Everitt Hall, Holy Family School gymnasium, located at 1143 East County Line Road, Lakewood. The starting times are as follows:

14 Yr olds              2:00 p.m.                       2:15 p.m.

As in the past, no child will be permitted to compete once their age group has completed their tournament. If there is a scheduling conflict, arrangements to shoot EARLIER than the group could be made. Basketballs will be supplied for the Tournament, no child will shoot using their own basketball. Please do not bring them into the gym.

Birth Certificates MUST be brought to regiater the children at all levels.
